5/6th Grade Results

2020 Fall America Answers: Grades 5 & 6

Fall America Answers 2020 is over! Hats off to all the teams who in spite of all the corona virus challenges and difficulties, made it work this year and the scores are great. One hundred and thirteen teams from nineteen states signed up this year. Based on the number of teams that signed up, we will be awarding three trophies and ribbons in fifth grade and three trophies and ribbons in sixth grade.

If for some reason you were unable to meet the ending deadline, please email us at thinkcap5@gmail.com. We will let you take the contest as an unofficial participant.

In 5th grade, the top team was from St. John Lutheran School, in Seward Nebraska, with an awesome 1173. Dixie Bee Elementary in Terre Haute, Indiana is our second-place winner with a super 1171 score. The third-place trophy and ribbons will be sent to Bluewater Elementary in Niceville, Florida with a fine score of 1162.

Top honors for 6th grade go to the outstanding team from Park Forest Middle School in Niceville Florida with a contest high score of 1216. Lesher Middle School in Ft. Collins, Colorado will receive the second-place trophy in 6th grade for their superb 1208. We had a tie for third place with both scoring a great 1193. One trophy is going to Rocky Bayou Christian School in Niceville, Florida and the other trophy going to Pleasant Hill Intermediate School in Pleasant Hill, Missouri.

2021 Spring America Answers: Grades 5 & 6

America Answers 2018 is over! The contest went well this year and the scores are great. One hundred and ninety-three teams from twenty-six states took part this year. Based on the number of takers, we will be awarding four trophies in fifth grade and five trophies in sixth grade.

In 5th grade, the top team was from Dixie Bee Elementary in Terre Haute, Indiana, with an awesome 1245. Woodside Elementary in River Vale, New Jersey is our second place winner with a super 1210 score. The third place trophy and ribbons will be sent to Bluewater Elementary in Niceville, Florida with a fine score of 1172. A very close 1170 score secured 4th place for the team from Summitview Elementary in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.

Top honors for 6th grade go to the outstanding team from Zionsville West Middle School in Whitestown, Indiana with a contest high score of 1307. Forsythe Middle School in Ann Arbor, Michigan will receive the second place trophy in 6th grade for their superb 1288. Immaculate Conception Elementary School in Marrero, Louisiana with their great 1267 score, is our third place winner. The home for the fourth place trophy in 6th grade is Bettendorf Middle School in Bettendorf, Iowa for their super 1241. The 6th grade team from Mount Nittany Middle School in State College, Pennsylvania tied with Middlesex Middle School in Darien, Connecticut, both with a score of 1237 and the same percentage of 94%. Both schools will receive a 5th place trophy and ribbons.

In 7th grade, the top team was from Lesher Middle School in Ft. Collins, Colorado with an awesome 1295. Willis Junior High in Chandler, Arizona is our second-place winner with a super 1261 score.

Top honors for 8th grade go to the outstanding team from Chamblee Middle School in Chamblee, Florida with a contest high score of 1371. Holdrege Middle School in Holdrege, Nebraska will receive the second-place trophy in 8th grade for their superb 1286. The third-place trophy is going to Leonia Middle School in Leonia, New Jersey with another great score of 1281.


2021 Spring America Answers Grades 7th and 8th

Spring America Answers 2021 is over! The contest went well this year and the scores are great. One hundred sixty-one teams from twenty sign up this year. We had 63 seventh grade teams sign up and 98 eighth grade teams. Based on the number of takers, we will be awarding three trophies in 7th grade and four trophies in 8th grade.

In 7th grade, the top team was from Warren Middle School in Warren, New Jersey with an awesome 1244. Lesher Middle School in Ft. Collins, Colorado is our second place winner with a super 1241 score. The third place trophy and ribbons will be sent to Regina School in Iowa City, Iowa with a fine score of 1233.

Top honors for 8th grade go to another outstanding team from Mount Nittany Middle School in State College Pennsylvania with a contest high score of 1348. George White Middle School in Hillsdale, New Jersey is our second place winner with the second highest contest score of 1346. Park Forest Middle School in State College, Pennsylvania will receive the third place trophy in 8th grade for their superb 1318. John Muir Middle School in Wausau, Wisconsin with their great 1286 score, is our fourth place winner.

HS Results

Result of the JV (9-10):
Top JV honors go to the outstanding team Lesher School in Ft. Collins, Colorado, with a contest high score of 1391. Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk, Connecticut, will receive the second-place award for their superb 11311. In third place with a fine of 1254 in Woodrow Wilson Middle School in Edison, New Jersey.

Result of the Varsity (11-12):
In the Varsity Division, the top team was from Holdrege High School in Holdrege, Nebraska, with an awesome 1381. St. Marys High School in St. Marys, Ohio, is our second-place winner with a super 1316. The third-place award winner is West Lyon School, in Inwood, Iowa, with a great score of 1308.
